Based on the well-loved book by Michael Rosen, this adaptation by Barb Jungr and Peter is brought to life in a brand new puppetry production with extraordinary music and lyrics by renowned singer/songwriter Barb Jungr and puppet design by Lyndie Wright. Peter Glanville directs and the set design is by Simon Plumridge.
Little Angel sees in 2013 a wide range of visiting companies. Companies presenting work for children include Norwich Puppet Theatre (THE TINDERBOX / PIED PIPER), Horse + Bamboo (THE NIGHTINGALE) and Folded Feather (NICE). For adults, we welcome Flabbergast Theatre's anarchic BORIS AND SERGEY straight from their Soho Theatre run, and the successful Edinburgh hits by Theatre Témoin (THE FANTASIST) and The Wrong Crowd (THE GIRL WITH THE IRON CLAWS). The season starts with Santé Theatre's PASSING ON written by Mike Kenny.

THE UGLY DUCKLING for ages 3+ is a classic Little Angel production and an all-time audience favourite. Directed by Christopher Leith, the set and puppets are designed by Lyndie Wright and music is by Sarah Goldfarb. 2011 sees The Little Angel Theatre reach its 50th anniversary. The small building, always bursting at the seams with its many activities, sits in a beautiful and secluded spot and is often described as Islington's 'hidden gem.' Founded by John and Lyndie Wright, the theatre has never deviated from its aim of providing puppetry of the highest artistic calibre and as a result a third generation of Little Angel audiences are now bringing their grandchildren to the shows.
