Luna Stage initiates a new tradition in the Valley Arts District when it brings electric jazz and big band rock to its stages for the last weekend in July. Fans of arena rock, bebop, big bands and jam bands are all welcome to join some of New York's busiest studio musicians, composers, and teachers for two days of futuristic nostalgia. Afternoon events are free and each evening event is $20 for adults, $15 for students with ID.

Release Point by Gino DiIorio, directed by Jeff Zinn will be presented on July 11; Apeshit (note: if unprintable, please spell it Apesh!t) by Philip Gerson, directed by Bob Jaffe on July 23; and Existing Privilege by James DeMarse, directed by Matthew Penn on August 8.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey launches its 2012 milestone 50th Anniversary season with William Shakespeare's saga of a young prince's reformation and ascent to manhood - Henry IV, Part One. Considered one of Shakespeare's most popular history plays, this rousing tale has not been produced on The Shakespeare Theatre stage in 20 years.
