Luna Stage, in association with No.11 Productions, is offering a free creative workshop for high school students around the topic of bullying.

Luna Stage will present the world premiere of Nikkole Salter's Carnaval - a play that was inspired by the author's discovery of the underground world of sex tourism and man-cations in Brazil. The play was developed in part through Luna Stage's New Moon Play Reading Series. Luna Stage Associate Artistic Director/Director of Play Development, Cheryl Katz, will direct. Previews for Carnaval begin on January 31st, 2013. The production runs Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm through March 3rd, 2013, with the official press opening on Friday, February 8th. Luna Stage presents The Mane Event: New Year, New You, a full day of vendors and holistic health, and a staged reading of the play Supernatural celebrating natural hair journeys. We all have hair stories to tell; now we have a place to share them. Come to this full day event with vendors selling natural hair products followed by a staged reading of the play Supernatural, created by Candace Kelley, Audrey Kelley and Gilda Rogers on January 5th @ Luna Stage.

Page 73 Productions will present a reading of the new hip hop musical comedy DUNKFEST '88 with book, beats, and rhymes by Matt Schatz and directed by Wendy C. Goldberg. The reading will be Tuesday, December 11 at 7:30pm at 311 West 43rd Street, 8th floor (MTC's Creative Center). The reading is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Luna Stage presents the second installment of its 2012-2013 jazz series, "Music In The Moonlight: An Intimate Evening of Jazz", tonight, December 9th at 7pm with a one-night only concert by Brazilian trumpeter, Claudio Roditi. Mr. Roditi will be accompanied by guitarists Roni Ben-Hur and Paul Meyers in a performance of Jazz Turns Samba at Luna Stage, 555 Valley Road in West Orange, NJ 07052.

The Show Goes On Productions in collaboration with R.Evolución Latina presents a talk-back series on the topic of 'Revolution' to be held following the 8pm performances of Ghost Dancer on Thursdays, tonight, December 1st and December 8th.

It features a five-member band and a pair of host storytellers who guide their guests through a lively and engaging line-up of folksongs and fables, seasonal poems, holiday musical favorites, and personal anecdotes of family traditions. Even audience members become part of la fiesta in this unique interactive experience.

Luna Stage Company does have power and the building was not damaged, but the theatre has decided to postpone the New Moon Reading originally scheduled for this Monday evening, November 5th, of Tammy Ryan's TAR BEACH, so the team can help keep the roads clear for recovery efforts. The reading will be rescheduled for later this month.

Passage Theatre Company will produce its first main stage play of the 2012-2013 season at the Mill Hill Playhouse in Trenton tonight, October 18 - November 4.

Mi Casa, Tu Casa will return to Luna Stage this season. Previews begin on Wednesday, November 28 before an official opening on Friday, November 30.

Luna Stage opens its 20th anniversary season with the New Jersey premiere of Vita and Virginia, an intimate two-character play by Eileen Atkins, adapted from correspondence between friends, lovers and confidants, Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West. Opening night is tonight, October 5th. The play runs through October 28th.
