On the 3 November 2019 at 6:30pm, stars from the West End will come to Croydon's recently re-opened Fairfield Halls to support the Mayor of Croydon's five charities for 2019 in a one-off concert that celebrates musicals past and present in a jam-packed evening of entertainment.
The London Musical Theatre Orchestra's new concert A Night at the Musicals is a well-judged programme of crowd-pleasing favourites, where my only real complaint was the sound mix. Guided by their charming conductor Freddie Tapner, there are songs from The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen and Hamilton as well as Disney classics and the more expected West End staples from Lloyd Webber, Wicked and Les Mis.

Following the announcement that London Musical Theatre Orchestra are heading out on a UK tour with A Night At The Musicals, opening at Royal & Derngate, Northampton on 22nd October, LMTO are thrilled to reveal that the cast will include Emma Hatton (Wicked / We Will Rock You/ Evita), Barry Keenan (LMTO's A Christmas Carol / Walk Like A Man), Emma Kingston (In The Heights / Les Misérables / Grease) and Luke McCall (The Phantom of the Opera / Les Misérables).

As the musical heads into its 32nd year, the producers have just announced key cast changes for "THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA". Joining the cast from 4 September are Ben Lewis who will play the title role of 'The Phantom', Kelly Mathieson as 'Christine Daae' and Jeremey Taylor as 'Raoul'. Seventeen year old Ben Thomas from Swansea is the 2017 Welsh Musical Theatre Young Singer Of The Year. He was awarded the coveted title by Judges Vivien Care, Claire Hammacott and Michael Morwood after a very high standard contest against Kate McKeown, Lynwen Haf Roberts and Grace-Marie Wyatt - all of whom were accompanied by virtuoso pianist, Jeffrey Howard.
