The Boch Center and Club Passim announced today that Grammy-award winner Patty Griffin will join Josh Ritter, Dar Williams, and special guests to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Passim with a benefit concert at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 8:00PM. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 6 at 10:00 AM.

Rufus Wainwright has established himself as one of the great male vocalists and songwriters of his generation with songs like "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk," "April Fools," and his covers of "Hallelujah" and "Across the Universe." Art enthusiasts gathered last night (May 22) at Montalvo Arts Center for an exclusive members-only unveiling of its 2019-2020 Carriage House Theatre Concert Series line-up. The historic Silicon Valley venue announced a thrilling roster of performers from Meow Meow to The Second City, from Pablo Cruise to Loudon Wainwright III, tributes to The Beatles, Cream, and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and an appearance by NPR's hit radio show and podcast "Selected Shorts." Alice Howe, the rising voice of modern folk in the United States, is set to release her debut LP, Visions on May 17th. Produced by iconic fretless bassist, Freebo (Bonnie Raitt, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Loudon Wainwright III, Maria Muldaur, Dr. John), the duo will perform on May 18th at McCabe's in Santa Monica, CA in celebration of the album's release. Ahead of Visions' official debut, the song “You Just Never Know,” premiered on The Bluegrass Situation.  Visions took Howe from her native Boston to Bakersfield, CA where it was recorded with a who's who of west coast musicians.

The Wooster Group will hold a spring benefit on Tuesday, April 2 at the company's home, The Performing Garage (33 Wooster Street). The event will be hosted by Sam Gold, with Frances McDormand and Joel Coen, Cindy Sherman, and Maura Tierney, and will feature a musical performance by Suzzy Roche, Lucy Wainwright Roche, and Loudon Wainwright III.

The University of Washington has announced the complete roster of artists who have been selected as Creative Research Fellows as part of its first three-year Creative Fellowships Initiative. Funded by a $750,000 grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the interdisciplinary initiative will advance the field of performing arts by supporting artists in the development of new works and by integrating the performing arts disciplines into a broader context academically, artistically, and socially.

April 12 marks the release of Acoustic Space, the first full-length installment in The Invisible Light trilogy helmed by Grammy- and Oscar-winning producer T Bone Burnett in collaboration with Jay Bellerose and Keefus Ciancia. The albums explore the idea that society has been subject to over a century of electronic programming, a “programming pandemic,” which is causing us to lose our ability to differentiate fact from fiction. The legendary Rufus and Martha Wainwright Christmas show, "Noel Nights," is returning to New York City after a four-year hiatus. Featuring three generations of the Wainwright and McGarrigle families, along with many other special guests, this annual holiday extravaganza will bring the Christmas spirit to Town Hall on Sunday, December 16th.

Dent May is taking his latest album Across The Multiverse on the road again. His summer North American tour kicks off with a show on June 28 in San Francisco with Michael Rault and will continue on across the continent and back over the next month with support from fellow Los Angeles songwriter Shannon Lay.

WE WERE AN ISLAND, a film directed by Peter Logue and written by Jahn Sood, is currently in pre-production and set to shoot in June 2018.
