Broadway In Chicago to Dim Marquee Lights to Honor James M. Nederlander

?Broadway In Chicago and the Broadway community mourn the loss of Chairman of the Nederlander Organization, theatre owner/operator, producer and presenter James M. Nederlander, who passed away on July 25 at age 94 by honoring the Broadway tradition of dimming the marquee lights.

Monroe on Wednesday, February 10.  Beginning with the production of Roundabout Theatre Company's CABARET playing now through February 21, The PrivateBank Theatre will be home to BULLETS OVER BROADWAY (April 19 - May 1), THE BOOK OF MORMON (June 29 - August 14) and HAMILTON (Beginning September 27). In Chicago last night (November 9), two-time Tony Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Andre De Shields was honored by The Theatre School at DePaul University with the 2015 Award for Excellence in the Arts. The 27th Annual Awards for Excellence in the Arts Gala, which also honored Broadway In Chicago President Lou Raizin and Theatre School alumna Karen Aldridge, was held in the Atlantic Ballroom of the Radisson Blue Aqua Hotel. The Theatre School at DePaul University (John Culbert, Dean) is pleased to present The 2015 Awards for Excellence in the Arts gala on Monday, November 9, 2015, in the Atlantic Ballroom of the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. The Radisson Blu is located at 221 North Columbus Drive. The event will begin with a 6 PM cocktail reception, followed by dinner and program at 7 PM, and will conclude with a dessert reception.
