Award-winning Broadway artist Lea Salonga, Hollywood actor Lou Diamond Phillips, tenor Rodell Rosel, ballet dancer Christine Rocas, singer Apl.de.ap and a host of other celebrities will come together in the nation's capital for a benefit concert for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
A Lincoln Center Theater representative has confirmed that the musical will indeed arrive on Broadway next year. Casting has not yet been announced, though Rodgers and Hammerstein veteran Kelli O'Hara, who is currently starring in The Bridges of Madison County, has long been rumored to lead the revival.

At the special event head of the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization Ted Chapin, who was also acting as Guest artistic director and host, shared that one of the duo's most beloved musicals, The King and I, will be brought back to the stage by Lincoln Center Theatre in Spring 2015. An official announcement has not yet been made.
