Amas Musical Theatre Presents New Musical DISTANT THUNDER in December

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) in celebration of its 50th season, will present Distant Thunder with book by Lynne Taylor-Corbett and Shaun Taylor-Corbett, music and lyrics by Chris Wiseman and Shaun Taylor-Corbett, with additional music and lyrics by Robert Lindsey-Nassif and Michael Moricz, the fourth and final new musical in development included in this year's 'Dare to Be Different' series. Performances are Thursday, December 6 at 3pm & 7pm and Friday, December 7 at 3pm at A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 West 53rd Street - 10th Avenue & 53rd Street).

Alyssa Milano, Henry Winkler and Lou Diamond Phillips to Speak at Politicon

Politicon, the non-partisan “Unconventional Political Convention” announced Alyssa Milano, Henry Winkler, Carter Page, Candace Owens and Lou Diamond Phillips will be speaking at this year's Politicon and cable news outlet, MSNBC, will be serving as an official media partner of the upcoming convention taking place October 20-21 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Performance run through October 21, 2018 at the St. Clement's (423 West 46th St). Hollywood Star Robert Wagner to Receive Second Gold Coast Burton Moss Hollywood Golden Era Award

Robert Wagner, the handsome and debonair actor and one of the most popular and successful stars in the entertainment industry, has been named to be the recipient of the Gold Coast International Film Festival's second annual Burton Moss Hollywood Golden Era Award. Regina Gil, founder and executive director of the Gold Coast Arts Center and its Gold Coast International Film Festival, announced the selection along with members of an advisory board that included such noted celebrities as Joel Grey, Larry King, Richard Thomas, Edwina Sandys, Mrs. Anthony Katherine Quinn, Tippi Hedren, Greg Mullavey, Carole Shelley, Angie Dickinson, Diane Baker, Stefanie Powers and Constance Towers Gavin.

Javier Munoz, Rita Moreno, Rosario Dawson, & More to Star in Disney Junior's ELENA OF AVALOR: SONG OF THE SIRENAS Film

The prime time television movie event 'Elena of Avalor: Song of the Sirenas,' based on the Emmy® and Imagen Award-winning series featuring Disney's first princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore, will debut on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 (7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT), on Disney Junior and the DisneyNOW app. The all-star guest voice cast for the special includes Gina Rodriguez, Edward James Olmos, Rita Moreno, Prince Royce and Rosario Dawson as sirenas, mysterious underwater creatures. Javier Muñoz (Broadway's 'Hamilton') also guest stars as Elena's cousin, Duke Cristobal.

Full Cast Announced for THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME Starring Deaf Actor Joshua Castille

The full cast for The 5th Avenue Theatre's spectacular new production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which stars Deaf actorJoshua Castille as Quasimodo, has been announced. Castille will use American Sign Language (ASL) throughout his performance, bringing new life and perspective to Quasimodo, who is deaf in the novel by Victor Hugo.

GIFF Announces Dynamic 2018 Feature Film Competition Lineup for 12th International Film Festival

The Suncoast Credit Union Gasparilla International Film Festival (GIFF) is proud to announce the dynamic 2018 Feature Film Competition Lineup. The festival includes 35 U.S., international and documentary features, as well as other programming, to kick-off its 12th festival season. GIFF will begin on Tuesday, March 20th with the opening night musical/drama, Stuck, starring Giancarlo Esposito, Amy Madigan and Ashanti. 

La Mirada to Enchant the Evening with SOUTH PACIFIC

LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & McCOY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT present the fourth show of its 2017-2018 season (and the 40th anniversary of the iconic theatre) with SOUTH PACIFIC, book by Oscar Hammerstein II and Joshua Logan (adapted from the Pulitzer Prize winning novel 'Tales of the South Pacific' by James A. Michener), music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, with musical direction by Brent Crayon, choreography by Peggy Hickey and directed by Glenn Casale. 2018 MPTF 'Night Before' Host Committee Members Amy Adams, Leonardo Dicaprio, Gal Gadot, Greta Gerwig, Sam Rockwell and More Attend 16th Annual Fundraiser in Support of

A star-studded host committee, Academy Awards nominees and presenters, along with some of the most powerful industry influencers came together on March 3 rd, 2018 for the 16 th annual 'Night Before' party to benefit MPTF. Funds raised during the legendary evening will be used to support MPTF in providing social services and financial assistance to the entertainment community, as well as it's renowned retirement community and innovative programs for seniors and those who care for them. The organization impacts thousands of people each year who have committed their lives to a career in entertainment. The annual event raised $5 million last night, totaling just over $80 million in the event's history.

LA BAMBA Screens at The Granada Theatre

"Cine en Domingo" Film Series presents La Bamba on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 3:00 pm. A program of The Jurkowitz Center for Community Engagement, "Cine en Domingo" films are presented in Spanish with English subtitles. Assemblymember Monique Limon and actor Andy Valdez will host a compelling dialogue discussing important thematic elements of La Bamba, the 1987 film that tells the story of singer Ritchie Valens and his rise to fame with his chart-toping hit, "La Bamba." The "Cine en Domingo" series as a whole showcases both classic and contemporary Spanish language films, with compelling titles chosen to engage the Latino community and all who love this genre of filmmaking.

'Blade Runner 2049' (Dennis Gassner), 'The Shape of Water' (Paul Denham Austerberry), 'Coco' (Harley Jessup), and 'Logan' (Francois Audouy), won Best Production Design for Feature Film. Television winners included 'The Handmaid's Tale' (Julie Berghoff), 'Portlandia' (Schuyler Telleen), 'Will & Grace' (Glenda Rovella), 'Black Mirror' (Joel Collins, Phil Sims), and 'Game of Thrones' (Deborah Riley) 'Glow' (Todd Fjelsted), and 'Star Wars Battlefront II: Rivalry/PS4' (Jason Edmonds), respectively.
