Chain Theatre Details 2024 Chain NYC Film Festival

Chain Theatre has detailed the 2024 Chain NYC Film Festival, which is set to captivate audiences with a diverse and compelling lineup of independent films, starring actors such as Anthony Michael Hall, Bill Nighy and Jeff Daniels.

Alhambra Theatre & Dining to Present ARSENIC AND OLD LACE Beginning This Month

The hysterical dark comedy, Arsenic and Old Lace will open at Jacksonville's Alhambra Theatre & Dining on March 23, 2023. Best known through the 1944 film starring Cary Grant and directed by Frank Capra, Arsenic and Old Lace was written in 1939. The play opened on Broadway at the Fulton Theatre on January 10, 1941.

Casting Announced For THE MISMATCH GAME At The Los Angeles Lgbt Center

Casting has been announced for the upcoming 15th Anniversary edition of Dennis Hensley's The MisMatch Game, the show the Los Angeles Times called, witty, ribald ... an adventure in surrealist era bending! The side-splitting parody of the '70s game show returns to the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Renberg Theatre for two shows only on Friday, March 29, and Saturday, March 30, at 8pm.

Sony to Reboot the FACTS OF LIFE

Sony Pictures Television is in early talks to reboot the Facts of Life, according to The Holywood Reporter. The Diff'rent Strokes spinoff originally aired on NBC for nine seasons. No network is attached and the search for a writer has begun.

Alhambra Launches 50th Anniversary Book

"In late July of 1967, there was but one table - on an empty lot on Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville, Florida, an unlikely spot 50 years ago for what would become an icon in the Jacksonville cultural landscape and within the national theater scene.  Set for two, that single table was covered by an elegant lace cloth, and adorned with matching napkins, silverware, stylish china plates and coffee cups and tall crystal glasses.

Alhambra's Neil Diamond Tribute Show to Be Featured in PLAY ME Documentary

As if having the premier Neil Diamond tribute band at the Alhambra Theatre & Dining isn't enough, it was announced this morning by Managing Partner, Craig Smith that the Saturday evening and matinee shows on May 9 will be filmed live by an international film crew making a documentary about the popularity of tribute bands. The Alhambra launched its Alhambra After Dark music series in 2014 and has featured tributes to Elvis Presley, the Rat Pack, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Jimmy Buffett and many others.

From Musketeers to Blair on 'The Facts of Life' to 'Survivor' to The Alhambra Theatre & Dining in Jacksonville, FL, it's a new adventure for Lisa Whelchel and one that is sure to be a hit at the nation's longest running professional dinner theater. In what might actually seem like a plot line from 'The Facts of Life,' Whelchel will be appearing with her real-life daughter, Clancy Cauble. Opening February 18, Whelchel and Cauble will appear for a limited in run in the Tony® Award winning play, Butterflies are Free.

THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, SEUSSICAL, HARVEY, ANYTHING GOES and More Set for Alhambra Theatre & Dining's 2015 Season

The 48th season for the Alhambra Theatre & Dining promises a diverse nine-show slate with seven shows never before seen at the Alhambra. It will also feature three Broadway and pop culture veterans: Lisa Whelchel, who starred as Blair in NBC's 'Facts of Life,' 80's pop icon Debbie Gibson, and Charles Shaughnessy, who rose to prominence on the CBS hit, 'The Nanny.' Season Packages and individual-show tickets went on sale to the general public on October 1, said Managing Partner Craig Smith. Smith also announced the Alhambra's new website, making access to the Alhambra simpler and more dynamic.
