Actor Patrick Swayze lost his long battle with cancer on Monday, September 14, 2009. The actor's family was at his side for his passing.
Patrick Swayze will be honored posthumously with the 2009 Rolex Dance Award on Monday, November 2, at Career Transition For Dancers 24th Anniversary Jubilee Gala at New York's City Center.
Whoopi Goldberg, who performed alongside Swayze in the 1991 hit film 'Ghost,' told Entertainment Tonight: 'Patrick was a really good man, a funny man and one to whom I owe much that I can't ever repay. I believe in 'Ghost's' message, so he'll always be near.'
