National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director) is thrilled to announce the line-up of directors and initial casting for the 29th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20, 2017 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). The Festival kicks off on Wednesday, October 18 with its celebrated concert, The 46th Minute.

Robbie Florian's farce, The Cadaver Synod: A Pope Musical will debut at this year's New York Musical Festival, playing from July 17 - 23 at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row (410 W 42nd Street). The Cadaver Synod is directed by Ryan Emmons with musical direction by Dan Garmon and choreography by Gina Duci. Tickets are $27.75 and can be purchased by visiting NYMF.org.

Patricia O' Hara's play Banned from Baseball, directed by Margarett Perry, will get an invite-only, industry presentation on July 17 at 3pm & 7pm a Theatre Row's Studio Theatre (410 West 42nd Street).

The Crusade of Connor Stephens, a new play written and directed by Dewey Moss, will begin an open-ended run at Off-Broadway's Jerry Orbach Theater at The Theater Center on June 17, 2017. Opening night is scheduled for June 26.

InProximity Theatre Company, a New York City-based theater production company, is proud to present the first edition of Project W Theatre Festival, a multi-day play reading event featuring new plays written and directed by women. Taking place over five days (June 6 - 10, 2017), the Festival will include a distinctive group of plays, all written and directed by women. The new musical Ben, Virginia and Me: The Liberace Musical will get a special concert presentation at theNational Arts Gallery (15 Gramercy Park South) on Monday, April 17 at 7:30 pm, before debuting a fully staged production at this year's New York Musical Festival (NYMF). Ben, Virginia and Me: The Liberace Musical has a book by Roger O. Hirson (Tony Nominee for Pippin) and music and lyrics by Barbara Carole Sickmen and will be directed by Paul A. Stancato (National Tours: Flashdance, The Lion King, The Wedding Singer) and Music Director Jesse Warkentin (National Tours: Wicked, Cinderella).   Ben, Virginia and Me: The Liberace Musical is produced by Ron Sickmen. Tickets are FREE to the public but reservation are necessary, they can be made by emailingtheatre@thenationalartsclub.org.
