Beginning on Valentine's Day, northeast theatre-goers will listen in on secret and hilarious conversations at a costume ball, a grand courtyard, a jail and a wedding celebration that appear and disappear in the intimate space of UNG-Gainesville's Ed Cabell Theatre.  And at 6pm, Feb. 2, GTA will offer a free peek behind the scenes to see the layers of design, direction and performance that make one of Shakespeare's best loved comedies seem like a simple, delightful romp.

Barrel of Monkeys celebrates the season with THAT'S WEIRD, GRANDMA: The Holiday Special Returns, a line-up of student-written stories inspired by the holidays, winter, elves, gift-giving and more, playing now through January 2, 2017 (Sunday at 2 pm & Mondays at 8 pm) at the Neo-Futurist Theater, 5153 N. Creatives - a darkly comic pop opera with an original book by Irvine Welsh and Don De Grazia and a score including songs from some of the most popular rock bands of recent decades - reveals the desperation that fuels the passion to create. The score will include songs by Simple Minds, New Order, Iggy Pop, Oasis, Happy Mondays and others, along with original songs by Laurence Mark Wythe.

Firebrand Theatre is pleased to present JUKE JOINT, an evening of gritty blues songs performed by some of Chicago's best female talent on Monday, July 25 at 9 pm at The Den Theatre, 1329 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood.

Set in the early 1960's, three young marines, Eddie Birdlace and his two best friends Bernstein and Boland, or as they like to be called the 'Three B's', are fresh out of training and about to be deployed into the small but growing war in Vietnam. These 'Three B's' consider this war a calling for heroes, and picture themselves returning for a 'Hometown Hero's Ticker Tape Parade'. Rambunctious, fearless, and bloated with confidence, these three best friends set out to enjoy one last boy's night, waging a cruel and heartless bet on who can get the homeliest date. Yet when Eddie Birdlace meets Rose, an awkward and practical waitress, this despicable game becomes less amusing. BONNIE AND CLYDE, the amazing Frank Wildhorn musical is the final show of Ocean Professional Theatre Company's 2014 Summer Season from today, August 21st through August 28th. The play is directed by Steve Seiner, musical staging by Paula Sloan, with music direction by Jonathan Marro.

Fun and laughs in this hilarious musical with the singing nuns.
