THE ARTISTS SHOWCASE SERIES is pleased to present MUSIC AND LYRICS BY, an evening of new and emerging composers and lyricists, at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, at Makor, 35 West 67th Street, between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue. The Artists Showcase Series' portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to DIRECT RELIEF INTERNATIONAL'S TSUNAMI RELIEF EFFORT (www.directrelief.org).

On January 17th, 2005, Wicked's Shoshana Bean, Aida's Lisa Brescia and Bare's John Hill will join Scott Alan, composer/lyricist of Broadway Bound 'Piece,' for an intimate night of his music.

Several performers sang their favorites from stage and screen as part of the Artists Showcase Series' The Broadway Kitchen Sink: Volume 2 on December 19.

A Promise of Hope took place on November 22. The benefit raised money for Mark Morse, uncle of Broadway performer Lori Ann Strunk.

Elton John & Tim Rice's AIDA begins its final 16 performances at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway) tomorrow, Tuesday, August 24 following its triumphant 54-month run on Broadway. AIDA will close on Sunday, September 5 after playing 1,844 performances.
