Showtunes will be temporarily banned at Makor (35 W. 67th St.) on September 18th as some of Broadway' vocally versatile talents take center stage for Guilty Pleasures: Broadway Rocks Out.

Hosted by Greg Reuter (Spamalot) and Lori Chase (The Full Monty), the 8 PM concert will feature
Ryan Link (Rent, Aida), Denise Summerford (Rocky Horror Show, Taboo), Sara Kramer (Mamma Mia!), Brandon Wardell (Assassins, Good Vibrations), Kathy Brier (Hairspray, "One Life to Live"), Erin Leigh Peck (Dance of the Vampires), Lisa Brescia (Aida), Jamison Stern (By Jeeves), Schele Williams (Aida, Rent), Julie Danao-Salkin (Lennon), Lori Ann Strunk (Aida), Josh Kobak (Rent), Rashad Naylor (Hairspray), The Broadway Boys, and Jai Rodriguez ("Queer Eye," Zanna Don't!, Rent), with others yet to be announced. Guilty Pleasures, which will be presented by the New York Musical Theatre Festival and Sabrina Gordon, will feature musical direction by Jonah Speidel.

"Don't expect to hear and Sondheim or Schwartz..it's more likely to be Zeppelin and Joplin as some of Broadways biggest talents sing some of rock's greatest songs," according to a press article. "
We all know what it takes to be a rock star... awesome pipes... a dazzling, sexy stage presence... the knack for holding an audience in the palm of your hand and whipping them into an emotional frenzy. Hey -- that's exactly what it takes to be a Broadway star, too. This show lets you in on Broadway's dirty little secret, its stars love to go unscripted for a night and let loose with the kind of music they never get to sing on stage."

Tickets for the concert are $20, and can be ordered at the following link.
