On January 17th, 2005, Wicked's Shoshana Bean, Aida's Lisa Brescia and Bare's John Hill will join Scott Alan, composer/lyricist of Broadway Bound 'Piece,' for an intimate night of his music. Alan will accompany and perform music from upcoming productions, as well as perform unheard cut songs from 'Piece.' 'Piece' director Schele Williams, best know for her work in the recently closed 'AIDA' will direct the 7 PM performance. A new arrangment of a song from Piece will be performed by Hill, who will be joined by 'Piece' Musical Director Jesse Vargas. The Duplex Cabaret Theater is located at 61 Christopher Street. There is a $20 cover and a two-drink minimum; call (212) 255-5438 for reservations.

In related news, Scott Alan and Producer Sabrina Gordin are proud to present Monday Nights New Voices, the new concert at the Duplex Cabaret Theater, featuring some of today's best unheard voices. This new series will present some of the best talent that you are not hearing in New York and will be directed by Aida's Schele Williams and musically directed by Piece's Jesse Varges. January 10th will mark the premiere, and will be all about the ladies. Hosted by Bare's Jenna Leigh Green, it will feature many talented performers including Little Shop of Horror's Nikki Renee Daniels, Aida's Lori Ann Strunk, Lauren Thomas, Zakiya Young, Wicked's Kathy Deitch and Brooklyn's Sara Schmidt. Joining these ladies on stage will be composer/lyricist Michael John LaChuisa, and more guests to be announced.
