Gordon Greenberg set to direct 'BUT I'M A CHEERLEADER: THE MUSICAL,' as part of the inaugural MTFestUK, taking place February 18-20. Casting announced.

This week, acclaimed multi-platinum pop singer and songwriter Andy Grammer released his original song, “Don't Give Up On Me” (S-Curve/BMG) from the forthcoming feature film, FIVE FEET APART (CBS / Lionsgate) in theaters March 15. The song is available at all digital service providers HERE. Andy is proud to announce that a portion of the proceeds will go to Claire's Place Foundation, Inc, a foundation named in honor of Claire Wineland, who inspired Justin Baldoni to make the film. The foundation is a non-profit organization providing support to children and families affected by cystic fibrosis (CF).

Madison's Andrew Abrams, Capital City Theatre's Artistic Director, travels to London to workshop BUT I'M A CHEERLEADER: THE MUSICAL, for which he wrote the music. BUT I'M A CHEERLEADER: THE MUSICAL has been selected by the MTFestUK for it's inaugural showcase of new musicals.

Hulu and Lionsgate today announce that UNBANNED: THE LEGEND OF AJ1, the powerful and inspiring true story of how Air Jordan 1 (AJ1) transcended sport to become a global phenomenon, will stream exclusively on Hulu. Lionsgate acquired the documentary which is set to make its exclusive streaming debut on Hulu on February 14.

2019 is the “Year of Norm!” On the heels of the original 2016 global theatrical film Norm of the North, a Dove Family-approved movie, which was released in more than 70 countries, are a duo of new feature-length CG productions starring the beloved polar bear and his friends. Jane Levy is set to star in NBC's Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist musical dramedy pilot, according to Deadline. The pilot hails from Jake in Progress creator Austin Winsberg, Eric and Kim Tannenbaum, FeigCo, Universal Music Group and Lionsgate TV.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced complete casting today for the world premiere of SOCRATES, written by acclaimed actor, director, and writer Tim Blake Nelson. Directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes and anchoring the Onassis Festival 2019: Democracy is Coming, SOCRATES will begin previews on Tuesday, April 2, with a Joseph Papp Free Preview performance on Wednesday, April 3 in The Public's Martinson Hall. This powerful new play runs through Sunday, May 19, with an official press opening on Tuesday, April 16.

The New York Pops, led by Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, gives a concert entitled Movie Mixtape: Songs from the Silver Screen, on Friday, March 15 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, joined by acclaimed vocalists Mykal Kilgore, Storm Large, Ashley Park, and Ryan Silverman. The orchestra performs iconic songs from beloved movies include 'Over the Rainbow' from The Wizard of Oz, 'Moon River' from Breakfast at Tiffany's, 'The Way We Were' from The Way We Were, and 'Footloose' from Footloose.

DirectTV and Lionsgate have released the trailer for A Vigilante, starring Olivia Wilde. The film will premiere exclusively on DIRECTV on February 28 and in theaters, On Demand March 29.

Lionsgate has released a new trailer for Tyler Perry's A Madea Family Funeral. The film stars Cassi Davis, Patrice Lovely and Tyler Perry. The film is set to arrive in theaters on March 1.
