The Laguna Playhouse Executive and Artistic Directors, Karen Wood and Ann E. Wareham and Lythgoe Family Productions are thrilled to announce a very special Holiday event, A SNOW WHITE CHRISTMAS, featuring Lindsay Pearce ('Glee') as Snow White, Marina Sirtis ('Star Trek: The Next Generation') as the Wicked Queen and an on-screen appearance by Tony award-winner Neil Patrick Harris as the Magic Mirror ('Best Thing Ever with Neil Patrick Harris).

Emma Hunton (Wicked, Next to Normal, Spring Awakening) recently took to the Rockwell stage, performing songs ranging from Fleetwood Mac's 'Go Your Own Way' to Radiohead's 'Creep.' Guest stars included Glee's Lindsay Pearce and Dear John Hughes' Michael Thomas Grant. Grant is currently performing alongside Hunton in 'The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Clueless,' playing now through October 2nd at Rockwell Table and Stage. Hunton honored her Broadway roots with a performance of Spring Awakening's 'Touch Me.'

Continuing their mission of premiering new and unpublished musical theater tunes, A LITTLE NEW MUSIC returns to Rockwell: Table & Stage in Los Feliz with a highly original program featuring Broadway and local talent. Tony Award-winner, Daisy Eagan (The Secret Garden), will co-host with her spicy partner-in-comedy, Jordan Kai Burnett (Love is a Battlefield). Bryan Blaskie (Victorian Courting and Zombies) will return as musical director.

A sexy cast of beautiful people inhabits Green Day's punk rock opera American Idiot, in a ferocious glory|struck production that opened last weekend at The Vortex. Directors Topher Rhys and Jen Oundjian (who also choreographs) take full advantage of the concert venue space and go for a panoramic experience, moving the action offstage whenever possible. The concept enhances the surround sound feel of the show and if you approach it from a concert mindset it will be easy to go with the flow. In a way, by chopping up the visual space to include playing areas all around the space, it enhances the disconnectedness we see in the characters. Plus, there is a certain kind of bond an audience feels with an actor when he is dripping with sweat and singing his guts out right next to you.
