Yesterday, the actors who portrayed the high school lovebirds, Lindsay Lohan and Jonathan Bennett, reunited over FaceTime, just four days after the special anniversary. Lohan took to Instagram to share a shot of the reunion.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating a MEAN GIRLS musical, which has been in development for several years. At the 10th Anniversary celebration of the comedy film, Fey and her husband, composer Jeff Richmond, said they were hoping MEAN GIRLS will hit the stage in time for -- or ahead of -- its 15th anniversary, which will be in 2019. It looks like that might happen, because a new, verified Mean Girls Twitter account has just announced some big news:

Today, casting was announced for the stage adaptation of Disney's iconic film "Freaky Friday," which will be led by Emma Hunton ("Spring Awakening," "Next to Normal") and Heidi Blickenstaff ("Something Rotten," "The Little Mermaid") as daughter and mother, respectively. It will have a world premiere in October at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA.

Heidi Blickenstaff (Broadway's Something Rotten!) and Emma Hunton (Broadway's Spring Awakening) are set to star as mother and daughter in the world premiere production of the new musical Freaky Friday at Signature Theatre. The musical, based on the beloved 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers and hit Disney films and developed by Disney Theatrical Productions expressly for licensing to theatres, features a book byBridget Carpenter, music by Tom Kitt and lyrics by Brian Yorkey. This premiere production will be directed byChristopher Ashley with choreography by Sergio Trujillo. Freaky Friday will run from October 4 - November 13 in Signature Theatre's MAX Theatre. Further casting and creative team members will be announced in the coming months.

It has been officially announced today that Nigel Lindsay will join the West End cast of GUYS AND DOLLS for a limited time, playing Nathan Detroit in the Phoenix Theatre production May 26-June 26. He takes over from Richard Kind, whose last performance is May 22. Lindsay last played the role in the West End run of Michael Grandage's 2005 Donmar Warehouse production.

Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey's new musical adaptation of FREAKY FRIDAY is set for a second regional production at the Cleveland Playhouse for the spring of 2017. This announcement confirms that FREAKY FRIDAY will not be heading to Broadway and will continue to follow the MTI trajectory.
