Turley, Chairman & CEO of Ernst & Young, honored Nathan Lane (currently starring on Broadway in The Addams Family), set designer Eugene Lee (Wicked) and Wells Fargo & Company. Accepting the award on behalf of Wells Fargo was Joe Kirk, Regional President for New York and Connecticut. All net proceeds of the event will be distributed as the NCTF/WELLS FARGO FUND FOR NEW AMERICAN THEATRE. Special guest Bette Middler stopped by to congratulate the nominees.

Halsted, raises the curtain at 7:30p.m. on Monday, May 3rd, 2010 in honor of Michael Cullen, owner of the Mercury Theater and Cullen's Bar and Grill, and a thirty five-year veteran producer and pioneer in the development of Chicagoland theater as it is known today. Recently suffering from a stroke, Mr. Cullen requires extensive therapy treatments.

Seattle Repertory Theatre ends its run during the 25th anniversary of August Wilson's beloved story of baseball and family, Fences. The play is being staged in a number of notable productions across the country, including on Broadway this month. Seattle Rep's production will end its run April 18, 2010.
As I got myself together, wiped the sweat from my brow and calmed my breathing, I started to think about the nature of nervousness as it relates to live performance. I've even been known feel nervous in the audience of a show, on behalf of the performers! But while the idea of being on-stage makes me panic, the nerves in my stomach when I'm watching someone else perform are different; they manifest as excitement: the idea that I never know what's going to happen during the show.
