Broadway Manager, Producer and BC/EFA Activist Peter Neufeld Passes Away at 78

A successful Broadway company manager, general manager and producer for more than 20 years, Peter Neufeld passed away peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson's disease this morning, January 27, 2015, at The Actors Fund's Lillian Booth Residence in Englewood, NJ, where he had been living since 2007. He was 78.

Neil Gaiman's OCTOBER IN THE CHAIR Begins Performances Tomorrow

OldSoundRoom's production of OCTOBER IN THE CHAIR AND OTHER FRAGILE THINGS, based on the short stories of New York Times bestselling author Neil Gaiman, begins previews tomorrow, Wednesday, October 29th for seven performances only at The American Theatre of Actors (314 West 54 Street). This production brings 90 minutes of absurdist, dark humor, just in time for Halloween. Directed by Michael McQuilken, OCTOBER IN THE CHAIR AND OTHER FRAGILE THINGS will play October 29th and October 30th at 8PM; October 31st and November 1st at 8PM and 10:30PM and November 2nd at 2PM. Folger Shakespeare Library to Host Preview Screening of STILL DREAMING Documentary, 5/19

The Folger Shakespeare Library hosts a preview screening of the inspiring new documentary Still Dreaming from the filmmakers who brought us Shakespeare Behind Bars (Philomath Films) and featuring the co-directors of New York's highly-acclaimed Fiasco Theater (currently on stage at the Folger with The Two Gentlemen of Verona through May 25). The advanced screening will take place on Monday, May 19 at 7:00pm at the Folger Theatre.

Fiasco Theater to Make DC Debut with THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA at Folger Theatre, 4/17-5/25

The highly celebrated New York troupe Fiasco Theater will make their Washington, DC debut with their production of William Shakespeare's clever comedy The Two Gentlemen of Verona at Folger Theatre. Directed by company members Jessie Austrian and Ben Steinfeld, The Two Gentlemen of Verona will play at the Folger from April 17 - May 25, 2014.

The Actors Fund's Jock Duncan Celebri-TEE Golf & Tennis Outing on Monday, July 22 2013, at the historic Knickerbocker Country Club in Tenafly, New Jersey will include a day of golf and tennis with big names in entertainment, all joining together to raise funds for The Actors Fund's Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, NJ. The event, now in its third year, is named for The Actors Fund's former treasurer Jock Duncan, who served as a Fund trustee for 13 years.

An aggressive adaptation of Shakespeare's play, this production utilizes his words, frenzied movement set to original beat-driven music, and new text culled from interviews with residents of the Lillian Booth/Actors Fund Assisted Living Facility.
