To make Broadway an experience affordable for all, FIRST DATE has instituted $25 student rush tickets and $35 balcony seats. Casa 0101 Theater will present a new World Premiere play written by Josefina Lopez (of Silver Lake) entitled 'Hungry Woman,' based on an abridged adaptation of Lopez's novel, 'Hungry Woman in Paris,' to be presented in a Limited Run for four weeks from tonight, June 7 - 30, 2013 on the Main Stage at Casa 0101 Theater; 2102 E. Opening Night is tonight, April 5, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. The play will be presented in a Limited Run for four weeks from tonight, April 5 - 28, 2013 at the New Casa 0101 Theater.

Casa 0101 Theater, Josefina Lopez, Artistic Director, will present the play, "I Don't Have To Show You No Stinking Badges" written by Luis Valdez, the creator of "Zoot Suit," "La Bamba" and "Cisco Kid." This new production of "I Don't Have To Show You No Stinking Badges" is the first to be presented in Los Angeles in 25 years. It will star Carmelita Maldonado (of El Sereno as Connie Villa), Daniel E. Mora (of Glendale as Buddy Villa), Elizabeth Pan (a native of Thousand Oaks and resident of Beverly Hills as Anita Sakai) and Alex Valdivia (of Santa Monica as Sonny Villa) under the direction of Hector Rodriguez (of South Pasadena). The play will be presented in a Limited Run from February 8 - March 10, 2013 at the New Casa 0101 Theater; 2102 E. First Street (at St. Louis Street; Boyle Heights, CA 90033.

Two celebrated Pasadena-based theatres, A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, and The Theatre @ Boston Court, an award-winning theatre committed to inherently theatrical new works, received Mid-Size BEST (Building Excellence in Small Theatres) Awards from The Sheri and Les Biller Family Foundation at the recent LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards. The awards, which vary in amounts between $10,000 and $25,000, provide general operating support to non-profit organizations with revenues between $850,000 and $3,000,000.

LA STAGE Alliance has announced LA Stage Talks, a series of panel discussions moderated by LA STAGE Alliance CEO Terence McFarland, exploring various aspects of the creation of performing arts in the Southern California region. The premiere event will take place on Tuesday, March 27 from 10am - 1pm, at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. All events are free, but space is limited. The LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Awards, celebrating theatrical excellence and achievement during the 2010-2011 season, were presented on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

'Ovation recommended' show promotion.

The 2008-2009 Reprise Theatre Company season continues with the classic international hit 'Man of La Mancha,' starring Brent Spiner as Cervantes/Quixote. Julia Migenes, the renowned opera and theatre performer, will play Aldonza/Dulcinea; Valerie Perri will play the role of Aldonza/Dulcinea at matinee performances; and Tony nominee Lee Wilkof will play Sancho Panza. 'Man of La Mancha' is written by Dale Wasserman with music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion. The production will be directed by Michael Michetti, co-artistic director of The Theatre at Boston Court. 'La Mancha' will play at the Freud Playhouse from February 14-March 1 (press opening February 15).
