On August 26th a benefit concert entitled Cancer's Expensive! will be held at the Laurie Beechman Theatre to help benefit Hairspray star Carly Jibson's mother, who is suffering from stage four lung and bone cancer. Renee Zimmerman is 55 years old and has no health insurance.
On Sunday, July 8th at 7PM at Joe's Pub, an all-star line-up of Broadway veterans and some of the city's best new voices presented "The TRL Generation: Broadway Sings The 90's," a one-night only concert event to benefit 'Broadway Impact.' Readings will take place on Tuesday July 10th and Wednesday July 11th at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center located at 480 West 42nd Street. Recently added to the performer lineup are Harris Doran (The Actors' Fund's Hair), Claybourne Elder (Bonnie & Clyde), Gideon Glick (Spring Awakening), and Caren Lyn Tackett (Hair).
