On Monday, June 25, 2012 at 9:30pm, a cast of Broadway performers will gather at Joe's Pub to sing songs from Pump Up The Volume, the new rock musical based on the 1990 film starring Christian Slater about a pirate radio shock jock who shakes up a small town.

Pump Up The Volume features music by Jeff Thomson and book and lyrics by Jeremy Desmon. Dave Solomon will direct, with a four-piece rock band led by music director Aaron Jodoin. The concert is being produced by Katie Riegel (jokr productions).

Currently set to perform at Pump Up the Volume in concert are Sasha Allen (Hair, Camp), Andrew C. Call (American Idiot, Glory Days), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked, "Sabrina the Teenage Witch"), Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages, "American Idol"), Leslie Odom, Jr. ("Smash," Leap of Faith), Nancy Opel (Memphis, Urinetown), Bryce Ryness (Hair), and Lucas Steele (Myths and Hymns). The ensemble will feature Stephanie Kababe, Travis Morin, Zal Owen and Jessica Waxman. Additional casting will be announced shortly.

Pump Up The Volume is written by Kleban Prize-winning bookwriter/lyricist Jeremy Desmon (The Girl in the Frame, I See London, I See France) and Larson Award-winning composer Jeff Thomson (Trails, Jawbreaker). Musical theatre duo Thomson & Desmon have developed the arena rock tuner at Michigan State University, The Human Race Theatre and Goodspeed Musicals. For more visit www.pumpthemusical.com.
