The League Of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), dedicated to championing women in theatre since its inception, has been and an authority at the forefront of the conversation about gender parity in the American theatre and an authority on the matter for 35 years, is proud to kick off a new season of programming, events, and advocacy initiatives which provide visibility and opportunities for women.

Desert Hearts was manifested from an abundance of positive energy in November of 2012. Starting as a 200 person renegade gathering in the Mojave, we have grown tremendously, refining our abilities to produce world class house and techno gatherings. Home of Desert Hearts Records and our roaming City Hearts party series, we aim to spread as much love as humanly possible through music and art.

The searing new play Sweat begins previews on Broadway tomorrow Saturday, March 4 at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street). Following a sold out, critically acclaimed engagement at New York's Public Theater, Sweat, the new play by Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, directed by Kate Whoriskey will officially open on Broadway on March 26, 2017.

The Public Theater presents the extended New York Premiere of SWEAT by Lynn Nottage. Directed by Kate Whoriskey, SWEAT begins performances tonight, October 18 and was originally scheduled to run through Sunday, November 20. It will now run through Sunday, November 27 with an official press opening on Thursday, November 3.
UW Drama to Confront Police Brutality with Kia Corthron's FORCE CONTINUUM

The University of Washington School of Drama continues their 75th Anniversary Season with playwright and novelist Kia Corthron's explosive socio-political drama, Force Continuum. Second-year MFA directing candidate Malika Oyetimein will helm the project, which she chose for very personal reasons.
