Signature Theatre Hosts BIG HAIR BALL, 11/5

Join the party! Tease it up. Throw on your best A-line and go-go boots...or that shagadelic wide tie - and put on your dancin' shoes. On Saturday, November 5th at 8:00pm, Signature Theatre will be transforming their theater into a Hairspray-style dance party with ‘The Big Hair Ball.'

STAGE TUBE: West End's LEGALLY BLONDE Performs on QVC!

The Laurence Olivier award-winning Legally Blonde The Musical is now taking bookings to 27 October 2012. Since its opening at the Savoy Theatre in December 2009, almost 600,000 patrons have now seen Jerry Mitchell's multi award-winning production, In the video below, the cast visits in to QVC studios for a live performance of 'So Much Better' from the award-winnning musical.

West End LEGALLY BLONDE Extends to Oct. 2012

Today, 27 July 2011, a further quarter of a million tickets are released for sale for the Laurence Olivier award-winning Legally Blonde The Musical, taking bookings to 27 October 2012. Since its opening at the Savoy Theatre in December 2009, almost 600,000 patrons have now seen Jerry Mitchell's multi award-winning production.

Photo Flash: Lee Mead Joins Cast of LEGALLY BLONDE

Today, 20 June 2011, Lee Mead joins the West End cast of the Olivier award-wining Legally Blonde The Musical to play Emmett Forrest. He joins Susan McFadden as Elle Woods, Natalie Casey as Paulette, Carley Stenson as Margot, Nicola Brazil as Serena, Siobhan Dillon as Vivienne and Peter Davison as Professor Callahan.

Alex Gaumond, Emmett in the original London cast of Legally Blonde, leaves the show this weekend - so we at BWW:UK thought it would be nice to look back on his time with the production with a clip from the first part of the run. Here he's singing Legally Blonde with original (Olivier Award-winning) Elle Sheridan Smith.

Carley Stenson to Take on Elle Woods in West End's LEGALLY BLONDE, July 11

From 11 July 2011 Carley Stenson will play college sweetheart Elle Woods in the Olivier award-winning Legally Blonde The Musical. Stenson, who is currently playing Margot in the West End production, steps up to play the leading role joining Lee Mead who joins the cast later this month (20 June) to play Emmett Forrest and Natalie Casey as ditzy beautician Paulette Buonofonté. Peter Davison continues in the role of Professor Callahan as well as Nicola Brazil as Serena and Siobhan Dillon as Vivienne.

Helen Hayes Award Recipients to be Named Tonight at 8pm EST!

The 27th Helen Hayes Awards are being presented at the historic Warner Theatre tonight, April 25, 2011. In addition to 156 theatre artists, ensembles and productions nominated in 26 categories, three special awards will be given.

Natalie Casey takes over the role from Denise Van Outen, whose last performance will be Saturday 23 April. From mid-June Lee Mead will join the west end cast to play Emmett Forrest.

THRILL ME: THE LEOPOLD & LOEB STORY Set For UK Premiere In April

The UK première of the award-winning musical THRILL ME: The Leopold & Loeb Story, with book, music and lyrics by Stephen Dolginoff, will be at the Tristan Bates Theatre, Tower Street,WC2 for a four-week season from Tuesday 5 April until Saturday 30 April 2011, starring George Maguire as Richard Loeb and Jye Frasca as Nathan Leopold and with off-stage dialogue recorded by Les Dennis, Patricia Quinn and Lee Mead.

Arena Stage Closes THE ARABIAN NIGHTS 2/20/11

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater is delighted to present The Arabian Nights, written and directed by Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman (Metamorphoses). The production, presented in association with Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Kansas City Repertory Theatre and Lookingglass Theatre Company, has been recognized as "Zimmerman's most theatrically complete and perfect creation" (Chicago Tribune).

Lee Mead Ends Run in the West End's WICKED Feb. 5

Nominated for this year's Whatsonstage.com Award for 'Best Takeover in a Role', Lee Mead will give his final performance as Fiyero in WICKED on Saturday 5 February.
