Review: SOME DEMON, Arcola Theatre

Laura Waldren lifts the veil off an eating disorder unit. While the characters try hard to cope with an alienating structure that fails many of its patients, Waldren examines institutional callousness and human failure. Chosen from a staggering 1,468 scripts, Some Demon it’s an excellent pick. Though far away from an easy watch, it’s rife with urgent necessity.

Full Cast Set For SOME DEMON at the Arcola Theatre

Papatango has announced the full cast for the world première of the 2023 Prize-winning play Some Demon by Laura Waldren – a play focusing on the relationships fostered and fractured when a group of strangers are thrown together in an eating disorder unit.

Wise Children Announces Cast For the USA Première of Emma Rice's WUTHERING HEIGHTS

The co-production with the National Theatre, Bristol Old Vic and York Theatre Royal, in association with Berkeley Repertory Theater, makes its US première at St Ann's Warehouse, New York, on 14 October, before touring to Berkeley Repertory Theater, the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and Chicago Shakespeare Theater, with more dates to be announced.

The Broadway runs of WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2 officially come to an end this weekend. Based on the novels by Booker Prize-winner Hilary Mantel, WOLF HALL ends its 15-week engagement today, July 5, 2015, at the Winter Garden Theatre.
