Producer Scott Rudin announced today that Lucas Hnath's new play, A Doll's House, Part 2 - the most Tony-nominated play of the year, with eight nominations including Best Play - will offer a special Midnight Performance on Thursday, May 18, 2017. This one-time-only, late-night event will benefit The Actors Fund.

Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers and commentators for media covering New York theatre announced today its award winners for the 2016-17 season in 27 categories.

The big day is here! The 71st Annual Tony Award Nominations will be announced today, May 2, from the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. The Broadway premiere of Lucas Hnath's new play, A Doll's House, Part 2, just opened last night at Broadway's John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), and BroadwayWorld was there to catch up with the company after the curtain came down!

When a classic play from the past is revived, there's always the temptation to point out its relevance to today, or at least to present it through a contemporary lens. In some ways, that's what playwright Lucas Hnath is doing with his entirely new play, A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2, where characters from Ibsen's 1879 drama rehash the events that led to the play's famous ending and introduce subsequent events of Hnath's own invention.
