Upright Cabaret, L.A.'s premier theatrical showcase featuring an eclectic mix of artists from stage, screen and recording, presents its third and final of its wildly successful 'WICKED' Summer Night at the Ford, featuring the man who has given the world such musical theatre treasures as Wicked, Pippin, Godspell, The Baker's Wife and many more, STEPHEN SCHWARTZ: MAKING GOOD, featuring the West Coast premiere of songs from his new opera Séance on a Wet Afternoon, with musical direction by Chris Bratten, directed by Upright Cabaret Artistic Director Billy Porter and performing ONE NIGHT ONLY, Sunday, August 23 at 7:30pm at the Ford Amphitheatre, 2580 Cahuenga Blvd. East in Hollywood.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre welcomes back Nick Dothée for a one-night-only concert on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Song for song, Dothée will interpret Counting Crows' legendary album August and Everything After.

The Castle on the Hudson is pleased to present a one night only performance of LET'S MISBEHAVE: A New York Cabaret starring The After Party's BRANDON CUTRELL with RAY FELLMAN at the piano. On Monday, August 10th at 8pm, Upright Cabaret will present 'The Music of Scott Alan', an evening featuring the work of composer and lyricist, Scott Alan. This one night only concert will mark Alan's Los Angeles debut, and also be the first performance in Upright Cabaret's new venue at 'Upright Cabaret on Vermont' which is currently being renovated on Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles.

Josh Young presented the concert Cutting-Edge Composers, A New Generation of Musical Theater Songwriters on Monday, July 27th. Directed by Laura Pietropinto with Music Direction by Julie McBride, Cutting-Edge Composers took place at the West Bank Cafe's Laurie Beechman Theater (407 W. 42nd street).

Following the great success of her spring engagement, dynamic singer Cindy Marchionda returns by very popular demand to The Laurie Beechman Theater for a four month series of Saturdays beginning August 15 and running also on September 5th, October 17th and November 21st with her sensational show, _'live at the beechman!'_ All shows are at 8:00. The Laurie Beechman Theater is located inside The West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street (between 9th & 10th Avenues). A convenient parking lot is located on the block. August is Joan Rivers month! On August 5th, TV Land premieres 'How'd You Get So Rich?' hosted by the legendary comedian. On August 9th, the Comedy Central Roast of Joan Rivers will air. And on August 4th, the legendary comedian returns to Times Square for 6 performances. Back by popular demand, La Red Music Theatre, a not-for-profit professional theatre company, is pleased to announce its latest version of The 48 Hour Musicals: Famous Last Words, which draws upon the last words and ruminations of famous historical figures. The 48 Hour Musicals: Famous Last Words will be presented on August 10th and 11th at 7:30 P.M., at the Highland Park Community House, 1991 Sheridan Road in Highland Park, Illinois.

The mission of The 9/11 Report: A Bipartisan Musical Fantasia is to humanize the players of the event and to encourage discussion. The piece is an innovative, edgy, thought-provoking original work, which combines elements of song, dance and theatre to examine the details of The 9/11Report.
