Get ready to skip back and forth across the centuries with Tom Stoppard's Arcadia at Harbour Theatre. 

Three of Broadway’s most beloved shows, Hamilton, The Lion King and Wicked, will resume performances on Broadway Tuesday, September 14, 2021, it was announced today on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

Placido Domingo will be starring in La Traviata at the Bolshoi Theatre. The cast will feature Irina Lungu, Arturo Chacon Cruz, Zuzana Markova, Dinara Alieva, Elchin Azizov, Matteo Lippi, Liparit Avetisyan, and Vasily Ladyuk. Performances are set to run May 5 to May 9.

The Lion King will begin performances at the KeyBank State Theatre on Friday, October 1 for a limited engagement of 2 weeks (16 performances) through Friday, October 15. The opening night is Tuesday, October 5 at 7:30 PM.

Capitalizing on the popularity of reconnecting with vintage aesthetics, Laura Wade’s (playwright) HOME, I’M DARLING considers the danger of delving too far into the retro fantasy and trying to recreate a 1950’s life in the 21st century.

Evita is a musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. It concentrates on the life of Argentine political leader Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentine president Juan Perón. The story follows Evita's early life, rise to power, charity work, and eventual death.

A discussion about celebrity names unexpectedly morphs into a campaign to get our producer Dave Piendak to ask his idol, Broadway legend Patti LuPone, to brunch. Afterwards, James turns his attention to the big headlines of the day like the return of Major Biden to The White House - but things quickly go back off the rails when Patti replies!

Spring is in the air this month as BroadwayHD, adds a lineup of new musicals, plays and documentaries. Kicking off the month on April 1st is Irving Berlin’s Easter Parade, a classic movie musical starring Judy Garland, Fred Astaire and Ann Miller, about a Broadway star who decides to go solo. 

The Annenberg Center presents a performance of Rennie Harris Puremovement (RPHM) on Thursday, April 1 at 7 PM.

The Actors' Gang Theater announces a new Axis Mundi evening as part of its digital season: Axis Mundi – In Conversation with Tim Robbins and theatrical legend and visionary director, Peter Brook. The free event, produced in partnership with Fundación Teatro a Mill, will be translated into French and Spanish and will be streamed Thursday, March 25th at 7 pm PST through Zoom and Facebook Live. The live translation is only available through Zoom.

Based on the Walter Tevis novel of the same name and the iconic film that starred David Bowie, THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH will follow a new alien character who arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine our future.

Jefferson Performing Arts Society will stage the New Orleans area debut of Ken Ludwig’s hit A Comedy of Tenors from April 9-18, 2021, at Jefferson Performing Arts Center in Metairie. A total of six performances will be offered at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.

OK Boomer centers on Barbara (LuPone), a self-centered boomer who shows up at her estranged daughter Sarah’s (Hayes) house hoping to live off the family’s money, but forms an unexpected bond with her progressive granddaughter who’s quick to challenge her on their differing views — of which there are plenty.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to learn of the passing of Olivier Award-nominated actor Ronald Pickup. Pickup passed away at 80 after a long illness. Pickup was nominated for a 1998 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role for his performance in Amy's View.

WE WILL ROCK YOU, Ben Elton’s (Book) jukebox musical tribute to iconic British rock band Queen is given the Packemin Productions large ensemble treatment under director Wayne Scott Kermond. 

International City Theatre opens its 36th season with a virtual presentation of Art, a heady, hilarious look at the bonds of friendship viewed through the prism of modern art.
