Kentwood Players proudly presents the musical SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by James Lapine. Performances take place at the Westchester Playhouse, located at 8301 Hindry Avenue in Westchester, CA 90045 from March 15th through April 20th on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater announces its 2019 Summer Theater Season, featuring five plays, expanded family programming and special events. 

The Cleveland Opera has fallen on hard times and the only person who can saver it is Tito Merelli, or El Stupendo as he is known. Tito (Magnificently portrayed by Jamie Michael Parnell) has been hired to perform as the lead I Giuseppe Verdi's opera, Otello. The issue initially is that Tito has failed to arrive at the allotted time, sending the General manager of the opera into a panic.

Playhouse Square will present a special performance of Disney's THE LION KING for individuals with sensory sensitivities, autism spectrum disorders and other sensory, social and cognitive challenges or issues and their families on Saturday, August 31 at 1:30 p.m. This marks the first-ever sensory-friendly performance of a touring Broadway show in Cleveland. Playhouse Square has previously presented sensory-friendly performances as part of the Children's Theater Series presented by University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's.

Lady Fraser entrusted the portrait to the theatre to celebrate the historic season, which has featured over thirty different pieces by the playwright, including his short plays and works first written for radio, television, revue nights, as well as poetry and prose.

Internationally renowned actor, writer, singer, producer, and director Ray Shell celebrates the 35th anniversary of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express with a special live Q&A at Spoonfed New York Country on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Ray premiered the role of 'Rusty the Steam Engine' in the show's original West End production. Directed by Trevor Nunn with choreography by Arlene Phillips, Starlight Express opened March 27, 1984 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London and ran for 7,406 performances. Spoonfed New York Country is owned by Chef Randy Witherspoon, caterer for Hamilton, Wicked, Kinky Boots, among other shows.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents Tony and triple Grammy Award-winning jazz legend Dee Dee Bridgewater in her Wallis debut with a tribute to the rich R&B tradition of Memphis - the city of her birth - on Saturday, March 23, 2019, 7:30 pm, in The Wallis' Bram Goldsmith Theater. The NEA Jazz Master and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, joined by the Memphis Soulphony, returns to her roots to bring the sultry Memphis sound to Los Angeleswith Memphis…Yes I'm Ready, based on her acclaimed album of the same title recorded at Memphis' famed Royal Studios in 2016.

A new display has opened at Planet Hollywood Times Square (1540 Broadway) honoring the late director Garry Marshall, which features special artifacts from the original workshop of the Broadway hit PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL, now playing to sold out crowds at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 W 41st Street). These artifacts include Garry Marshall's blue script binder he used on every film, his notebook from the first workshop and reading of PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL, and the original A-camera slate from the PRETTY WOMAN film, among other items. This special display will remain open until September 2019.

Kicking off their 66th theatre season, The Naples Players (TNP) announce the 2019-2020 theatre season. For one night only, Frank Ferrante will perform his acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in An Evening With Groucho. The performance that Variety called "a Tour de Force" will happen on the Walnut Mainstage on Monday, February 25. Ferrante also directed and is now performing in Ken Ludwig's A COMEDY OF TENORS at the Walnut, on stage now through March 3.

Casting has been announced for the premiere engagement of Disney's THE LION KING at The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. THE LION KING will leap onto the Van Wezel stage on Thursday, March 14 for a 3-week engagement through Sunday, March 31.
