Undeniably one of the most significant gay artists of the 20th century, Stephen Sondheim defined an urbane, literate and uniquely New York voice that many would call the most important in musical theatre history.

Credited with an Academy Award, eight Tony Awards, eight Grammy Awards, a Pulitzer Prize, Laurence Olivier Award and a 2015 Presidential Medal of Freedom, Sondheim's sweeping repertoire expresses the ache of the metropolitan man; his disappointments, his loves and his secrets.

Originally produced and presented at Brisbane Powerhouse as part of Melt 2017: Festival of Queer Arts and Culture, Boys of Sondheim is an intimate cabaret concert that will expose the soulful, masculine underbelly of Sondheim's work.
