BroadwayCon's star-studded lineup continues to grow, including ten of the young actors who starred in Fun Home.

Best in Shows, a star-studded cabaret evening benefitting the Humane Society of New York, will honor James L. Nederlander, President of the Nederlander Organization, on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 7 pm at Feinstein's/ 54 Below.

The best of Broadway has performed for FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park 2017' - a lunchtime series on the Bryant Park Stage. Hosted by LITE FM's on-air personalities, the 17th annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances will run through Thursday, August 10.

The Tony Award winning production of the new American musical Bandstand, directed and choreographed by three time Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton, In The Heights) and featuring music byRichard Oberacker and a book and lyrics by Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker, will conclude its critically acclaimed engagement on Broadway on Sunday, September, 17, 2017 following 24 previews and 166 regular performances.

On Monday, August 7th Theater People podcast welcomes Alexandra Silber and Reed Birney in a two-part episode. In the first segment, Silber discusses her new novel 'After Anatevka' which tells the story of Hodel, the middle daughter in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, after the action of the beloved musical ends. In the second segment, Tony winner Reed Birney discusses his work in the provocative new production of 1984, a play based on George Orwell's 1949 novel.

Maestro LUKE FRAZIER and THE AMERICAN POPS ORCHESTRA — Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra — have announced their all-star 2017-2018 season. The diverse line-up will include a tribute to legendary soul singer Aretha Franklin, a special evening combining yoga with the APO's favorite standards, a new family show based on the classic tale Around the World in 80 Days, and a program celebrating the wit of iconic songwriter Cole Porter. Unless otherwise noted, all shows are at the Orchestra's new home, Arena Stage at The Mead Center for American Theater (1101 Sixth Street SW). Bravo! Vail and the New York Philharmonic have announced a five-year extension of the Orchestra's annual summer residency through the summer of 2022. The Philharmonic has been performing at Bravo! Vail since 2003.

Today, July 28 at 12:00 Noon at Staten Island's Borough Hall Plaza, the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) will present the third event of the 2017 season of 'Broadway in the Boros,' a series of free musical performances featuring stars from some of Broadway's biggest shows. This performance will feature a showcase of vignettes performed by members of the current casts and orchestras from hit musicals Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Bandstand.
