The show, hosted by Ciara and broadcasting live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 24 at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC, will feature performances from Swift, as well as Christina Aguilera & A Great Big World, Toni Braxton, Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish, Green Day, Selena Gomez, Jonas Brothers, Kesha feat. dick clark productions today announced the hosts for “AMAs Red Carpet Live presented by Security Benefit,” the official pre-show for the “2019 American Music Awards.” Sofia Carson, AJ Gibson, Jaymes Vaughan, Lauren Jauregui, Raja Kumari and Nick Viall will host. The two-hour pre-show will stream LIVE from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 24 starting at 6:00 p.m. ET / 3:00 p.m. PT, on the official American Music Awards Twitter account (Twitter.com/AMAs).

Recording Academy Announces Industry-Wide Initiative To Expand Opportunities For Female Producers and Engineers

Today, the Recording Academy's Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion announced an unprecedented new initiative that aims to expand opportunities for female music producers and engineers. The Producer & Engineer Inclusion Initiative is the inaugural action of a larger strategy to address gender inequity in the music industry. According to a 2018 USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative study, only 2 percent of music producers and 3 percent of engineers/mixers across popular music are women. This initiative is the first step in a broader effort to improve those numbers and increase diversity and inclusion for all in the music industry.
