Lesser America to Premiere New Drama HALF MOON BAY at Cherry Lane Theatre

Lesser America (The Bachelors, Carnival Kids, Trevor) will present HALF MOON BAY by Dan Moyer. It will be directed by Jess Chayes (AD of Peter and The Starcatcher) starring Keilly McQuail (You Got Older, Her Requiem) and Gabriel King (These Seven Sicknesses). Previews begin May 12 at Cherry Lane Theatre, where Lesser America is the inaugural Company in Residence. Opening set for Thursday, May 19.

Live Arts Theatre will open the Lanford Wilson classic 'The Hot L Baltimore' April 8, 2016. 'The script is smart and humorous, and a fantastic challenge for any director' says director Starshine Stanfield. 'It truly is a funny show,' adds Becca Parker, Artistic Director of the company, 'though it may be a bit more appropriate for date night.'
Broadway's Debbie Bisno Named Resident Producer of McCarter Theatre

McCarter Theatre Center's Resident Playwright/Artistic Director Emily Mann and Managing Director Timothy J. Shields have announced Debbie Bisno as the theatre's new Resident Producer. Ms. Bisno, a Broadway producer with two decades in the commercial and non-profit theatrical arenas, assumes her new leadership role immediately. Ms. Bisno will be based in Princeton as an important member of the artistic team at McCarter, and she will maintain and expand McCarter's relationships in NY, regionally, and abroad. Her existing company, Bisno Productions, will continue operations in Manhattan.

Due to popular pre-sale demand, Aurora Theatre Company announces that it will again extend the West Coast Premiere of Sarah Treem's (Netflix's House of Cards, HBO's In Treatment, Showtime's The Affair) thought-provoking THE HOW AND THE WHY, the third fully staged production to be performed in the company's second stage performance space, Harry's UpStage. Acclaimed Bay Area actress and director Joy Carlin (Talley's Folly, After the Revolution, Body Awareness, Jack Goes Boating, Awake and Sing!) helms this intimate and keenly perceptive play. The company will add an additional two weeks of performances to the previously extended run dates. Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis announces the Regional Premiere of HAND TO GOD opening June 16, 2016 on the Livia and Steve Russell Stage. This production runs through July 17, with Mark Routhier serving as director. Phoenix Theatre will produce the first U.S. production outside New York.
