Live Arts Theatre Opens THE HOT L BALTIMORE on 4/8
Live Arts Theatre will open the Lanford Wilson classic "The Hot L Baltimore" April 8, 2016. "The script is smart and humorous, and a fantastic challenge for any director" says director Starshine Stanfield. "It truly is a funny show," adds Becca Parker, Artistic Director of the company, 'though it may be a bit more appropriate for date night."
The show, which provided the framework for the hit TV show of the same name, takes place in 1974 Baltimore, in a falling down Hotel destined for the wrecking ball. The lives of the residents, employees, and vistors to the hotel intertwine to make something really special. "The cast is working hard and having fun with the script and with each other." stated Stanfield.
The show features performers such as Rob Frisina, Kendal Franklin, Heather Murray, Linda Place, Rick Chandler Bragg, Robbie Summerour, Cat Roche, Sharon Wilson, Lee Jones, Ilene Miller, Branden Parisi, Shannon Varner Alexander, Ed Thompson, and D Norris.
The show is directed by Starshine Stanfield and Spencer Estes, produced by Scott Piehler, and Stage Managed by Paul Franklin. You can catch "The Hot L Baltimore" April 8-23 at Belfry Playhouse (downstairs at Norcross Presbyterian Church) 3324 Medlock Bridge Rd in Norcross GA. Showtimes are 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday matinees are at 2:30.Tickets are $12-$18 and may be purchased at http://www.lathotl.brownpapertickets.com
