 Williamstown Theatre Festival (Mandy Greenfield, Artistic Director) kicked-off rehearsals for the first two productions of its 61stseason. Rehearsals are in full swing for the first two shows, Off the Main Road on the Main Stage, featuring Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winner Kyra Sedgwick in the World Premiere of a play by Pulitzer Prize-winner William Inge, and Legacy 0n the Nikos Stage, with Tony Award nominee Jessica Hecht and Drama Desk Award-winner Eric Bogosian in Daniel Goldfarb's World Premiere. Both casts arrive in the Berkshires ahead of performances that begin on June 30.

Accomplished actress Roberta E. Bassin, known for her work in the cult classic “Barfly” and Clint Eastwood's acclaimed “J. Edgar,” will appear in TNT's hit procedural, “Major Crimes” for its season opener, at 9 p.m.,Monday, June 8.

Taye Diggs will return to Broadway this summer in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the 2014 Tony Award winning Best Musical Revival. Diggs will play the title role in the acclaimed musical for a limited 12-week engagement starting Wednesday, July 22 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street).

Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced that Abe Koogler's Kill Floor is the winner of the 2014 L. Arnold Weissberger Award. The play, which will premiere at Lincoln Center Theater's LCT3 this fall, will be introduced to audiences at a reading at Williamstown Theatre Festival on Friday, August 7 at 3:00pm on the Nikos Stage. Lila Neugebauer will direct both the reading and LCT3 production.

The opening will be split between tonight, May 8 at 8pm and Saturday, May 9 at 8pm. The Woodsman will play through June 13 at the Lyric-Hyperion Theatre & Cafe in Silver Lake.

There will be two preview performances on Wednesday, May 6 and Thursday, May 7 at 8pm and opening will be split between Friday, May 8 at 8pm and Saturday, May 9 at 8pm.
