It was announced today that additional participants have joined the benefit evening of 'BRIDGING THE GAP AND OTHER SHORT PLAYS BY WESLEY TAYLOR'. The event will be presented as an evening of readings of a collection of six new short plays by actor and playwright WESLEY TAYLORto benefit The Actors Fund. The one-night-only event is set for Monday, October 26, 2015 at 7:30 pm at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) and tickets are now on sale via www.actorsfund.org.
Deaf West's SPRING AWAKENING Adds Two More Weeks to Broadway Run

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that an extra two weeks of performances for Deaf West Theatre's acclaimed production of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's Spring Awakening have been added to the current Broadway run. The limited engagement will now run through Sunday, January 24 only at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street). Spring Awakening is currently in previews and will open Sunday, September 27.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) announced Zachary Levi (Georg) will star alongside Laura Benanti (Amalia), Rene? Auberjonois (Maraczek), Gavin Creel (Kodaly), Michael McGrath (Sipos) and Jane Krakowski (Ilona) in a new Broadway production of SHE LOVES ME, directed by Scott Ellis, choreographed by Warren Carlyle with musical direction by Paul Gemignani. This classic musical comedy features a book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock.

Signs of the Times- A History of SPRING AWAKENING's Deaf West Theatre on Broadway and Beyond!

'Theatre for the deaf? On Broadway?' It's a question that many theatre fans have asked since July 7, when official word came that Deaf West Theatre's production of Spring Awakening would land on Broadway this fall. The upcoming production, which will run September 8 through January 9 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, will sound the same to fans of the 2006 Tony-winning musical, but it will be performed simultaneously in American Sign Language by a cast of 27.
Wait...what? That's right- this production, which marks the first Broadway revival of the show since it closed in 2009, comes complete with ASL, and though the concept seems revolutionary, this is far from the first time that it has been done (and has worked). Let's review:
