On December 15th a cast Broadway favorites will take to the stage of 54 Below to celebrate the music of the 2001 cult classic movie 'Josie and the Pussycats.' Singing the pop/rock soundtrack will be Krystina Alabado (American Idiot), Alex Boniello (Spring Awakening), Jenny Baker (Fiddler on the Roof), Virginia Cavaliere (In the Heights tour), Lauren Chapman (Kinky Boots), Kathryn Gallagher (Spring Awakening), Sean Grandillo (Spring Awakening), Julia Mattison (Godspell), Krysta Rodriguez (Spring Awakening), Mike Schwitter (Pippin), Ali Stroker (Spring Awakening), and Alex Wyse (Spring Awakening).

The Palm Springs Cultural Center and Musical Theatre University (MTU) are teaming up this year to create a brand new holiday show - White Christmas - A Palm Springs Holiday Spectacular. 'This is a perfect way to celebrate the holidays with the whole family,' said David Green, Founder of Musical Theatre University. 'We plan to screen the holiday classic, White Christmas, at the Camelot Theatres, and combine the screening with a live thirty minute fully staged holiday production featuring the kids from Musical Theatre University.' This is the first time any theatre in The Inland Empire has combined a live theatrical event with a motion picture screening. And as an added treat -- it will actually SNOW in the theatre!

An interactive American Sign Language experience will be held at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre prior to the Tuesday, December 1st performance of Deaf West Theatre's acclaimed production of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's Spring Awakening, BroadwayWorld has confirmed. Producer and Deaf West Theatre Artistic Director D.J. Kurs, along with members of the cast, will lead an inside look into the process of translating the lyrics of Spring Awakening into American Sign Language. Signed words and lyrics from the show will be taught, followed by a sing- and sign-along.
