Obie-winning director Robert O'Hara will direct the Public Theater's WILD WITH HAPPY by Colman Domingo. The play explores the surreal, bizarre, and outrageous comedy that lies in dealing with death and healing as a young man named Gil plans to scatter his mother's ashes in the place where she was the most happy. O'Hara chatted with BWW about the upcoming play which takes on a unique yet truly universal subject matter.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis and Executive Director Patrick Willingham) announced today that single tickets are now on sale for the fall 2012 season which will begin in October with WILD WITH HAPPY by Colman Domingo. Sundance Institute today announced the acting company and creative advisors for the eight projects being developed at its 2012 Theatre Lab, July 9-29 at the Sundance Resort. Under the supervision of Philip Himberg, Producing Artistic Director, and Associate Director Christopher Hibma, the Lab is the centerpiece of the Theatre Program's year-round work and is designed to support emerging and established artists and to create a place where their original work can be effectively mentored and challenged.

The final performance of The Fire Dept Theatre Company's At War: American Playwrights Respond to Iraq is Monday, February 4 at The Bleeker Street Theatre, with special guests, Bebe Neuwirth, Bobby Cannavale, Denis O'Hare and more.

The Fire Dept will present an expanded and updated version of its acclaimed At War: American Playwrights Respond to Iraq, an evening of alternately moving, haunting, and funny material by noted and emerging American playwrights, woven together to present a kaleidoscope of views on the war.
