Four Off-Broadway Companies Join To Create "X-Pass" For Tickets

Four of New York's most innovative theatre companies - The Civilians, The Talking Band with Taylor Mac, The Rude Mechs and The Exchange - will join together in 2010-11 to create a unified season Off-Broadway called The Exchange NYC, featuring a first-of-its-kind season pass, the 'Xpass,' it has been announced by Ari Edelson, Artistic Director of The Exchange.

Yale's No Boundaries Series Presents Maria Jerez, Rude Mechs In NO BOUNDARIES

NO BOUNDARIES: A SERIES OF GLOBAL PERFORMANCES, presented by Yale Repertory Theatre (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) and World Performance Project at Yale (Joseph Roach, Principal Investigator; Emily Coates, Artistic Director), announces its 2010-11 season, which includes the American premiere of The Case of the Spectator, by Spanish performance artist María Jerez; The Method Gun, by the American ensemble-based company Rude Mechs; and a special preview engagement of Nameless forest, a collaboration by American choreographer and video artist Dean Moss and South Korean sculptor Sungmyung Chun.

Cherrywood Extending Thru 8/28 at Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co.

Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. is extending it's production of the Midwest Premiere of CHERRYWOOD: THE MODERN COMPARABLE by Kirk Lynn at Angel Island, 735 W. Sheridan . It will add performances on August 13,14, 15, 19, 26, 27, & 28. Thursdays -Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 on Thursday and Sunday, $20 on Friday, and $22 on Saturday. All shows are selling out so it is advised to reserve and pay on Ticketweb. All tickets are released at 10 minutes to showtime. There is parking available in the Mobil Gas Station across from the theater at a fee determined by Mobil Gas. For more information and reservations call (773) 871-0442.

More than 400 plays have been produced in the internationally acclaimed Humana Festival, representing the work of more than 200 playwrights.

Humana Festival Continues with GROUND and PHOENIX, Beginning 3/2

The 34th annual Humana Festival of New American Plays, made possible by a generous grant from the Humana Foundation, will continue with the two full?length plays Ground, beginning performances March 2 and Phoenix beginning performances March 5. Both plays run through March 28.

THE METHOD GUN Opens at Humana Festival, 3/18

The 34th annual Humana Festival of New American Plays, made possible by a generous grant from The Humana Foundation, will continue with The Method Gun, created by Austin?based theatre troupe Rude Mechs and written by Kirk Lynn. The Method Gun is a play about the ecstasy and excesses of performing, the dangers of public intimacy, and the incompatibility of truth on stage and6 sanity in real life.

The Nora Theatre Company Will End its Run of Not Enough Air, 3/14

Local playwright Masha Obolensky's new play Not Enough Air will end its run at the Nora Theatre Company March 14th. Not Enough Air tells the riveting story of two women: one on trial for murder, the other a writer determined to tell her story. Performances of the show began February 11th.
