All For One Theater has announced the world premiere of Mister Miss America, written and performed by Neil D'Astolfo and directed by Tony Speciale. Mister Miss America will play July 6-31, 2022 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place), with opening night set for Monday, July 11 at 7:00 pm.

Three decades after its 1993 World premiere at the Mark Taper Forum, Anna Deavere Smith's “Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992” returns to L.A. as part of Center Theatre Group's 2022-2023 season at the Taper. Originally performed solo by Smith, “Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992” has been reimagined for a cast of five performers. Playwrights Horizons will present Will Arbery’s Corsicana, directed by Sam Gold, June 2–July 10 (opening June 22) in the Mainstage Theater. In Corsicana, a small city in Texas, a woman with Down syndrome named Ginny and her half-brother Christopher are unmoored in the wake of their mother’s death.
Already in previews, Center Theatre Group’s Associate Artist Phylicia Rashad directs Pearl Cleage’s Blues for an Alabama Sky at the Mark Taper Forum, with opening night April 13th. Set in 1930’s Harlem, the cast includes Joe Holt, Nija Okoro, Dennis Pearson, Greg Alverez Reid and Kim Steele.
