Brendan Milburn & Valerie Vigoda's New Musical LONG STORY SHORT to Play 59E59 Theaters, Begin. Today

59E59 Theaters and Prospect Theater Company announce cast for the NYC premiere LONG STORY SHORT, adapted from David Schulner's play An Infinite Ache by Brendan Milburn and Valerie Vigoda, and directed by Kent Nicholson. LONG STORY SHORT begins performances on February 28 for a limited engagement through March 29. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM, Friday at 8:15 PM; Today at 2:15 PM and 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. Please note the following schedule adjustments: there are no matinee performances today, February 28 and Today, March 7; the performance on Sunday, March 1 is at 7:15 PM only. Press Opening is Tuesday, March 10 at 7:15 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Tickets are $50 ($35 for 59E59 Members). Hurricane Irene Floods Weston Playhouse; SAINT-EX Reopens 9/2

The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company opened the world premiere of Saint-Ex, a dazzling new musical about the life of author/aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (The Little Prince) last week, but because of flooding from Hurrican Irene, the production has been temporarily shut down. The theatre's website states: 'The Weston Playhouse has sustained damage from 5 feet of water which flooded the ground floor. ? The Theatre Company is formulating plans to reopen its production of Saint-Ex.'

The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Saint-Ex, a dazzling new musical about the life of author/aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (The Little Prince). The work of author Sean Barry and composer Jenny Giering, Saint-Ex is directed by Kent Nicholson with a cast that includes Broadway veterans Alexander Gemignani, Krysta Rodriguez and Cass Morgan. Thanks to unprecedented support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Alliance for Musical Theatre's Fund for New Musicals, the Vermont Arts Council, the Vermont Community Foundation, and sponsorship from The Vermont Country Store, Saint-Ex will appear on the Weston MainStage from August 25 through September 10, including a week of special daytime matinee performances for area schools.

Lloyd Brings DEATH OF A SALESMAN to Flynn Center, 10/9

Vermont's Flynn Center and Weston Playhouse Theatre Company will present 'Death of a Salesman' starring Christopher Lloyd on Saturday, October 9 at 8pm. Winner of the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize, Death of a Salesman tells the story of Willy Loman, a traveling salesman who struggles with the changes of time and his failure to reach success as he and his family pursue the 'American Dream.'

Today Les Waters, the associate artistic director of Berkeley Repertory Theatre, launches another new play in New York. As part of Clubbed Thumb's 2010 Summerworks Festival, the Obie Award-winning director is staging the world premiere of a comedy written by a Berkeley native: THE SMALL by Anne Washburn plays for only six performances at the Ohio Theatre in Soho from June 20 - 26. Waters previously directed the off-Broadway production of Washburn's Apparition.
