Cohen (Children's Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book & lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel, Nine Wives.  Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), the production stars Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!) in the title role, with Allie Trimm (13: The Musical and Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway) and Leslie Hiatt. Now in previews, opening is slated for Today, October 4.

This new residency program grants selected artists the use of the venue for a month and the resources needed to develop a project of their choice that will be presented at the end of their one-month term.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director, Kira Simring) will present the Off Broadway Premiere of BASTARD JONES, a rock musical comedy based on Henry Fielding's bawdy 18th century novel, The History of Tom Jones. With book, lyrics, & direction by Marc Acito (Broadway's Allegiance) and music & lyrics by Amy Engelhardt (Grammy nominees The Bobs), performances begin June 14 at the cell. Opening is slated for Thursday, June 22.

Producing Founding Artistic Director Liz Flemming, Associate Artistic Director, Ethan Paulini and Out of the Box Theatrics announced their 2018. The season will open with Adam Rapp's Nocturne followed by Cheryl Stern's new musical Shoes and Baggage and closing out the season will be James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. Early Bird Subscriptions ($75) are now available. Regular subscriptions priced ($93) go on sale January 22. Single tickets ($30-$42) go on sale February 12. Also in 2018, OOTB will offer it's new #Box4All program. For each production an extremely limited number of $15 tickets will be available to audience members under 25.
