BWW Review: THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at Pitch Me This Productions
by Brett Cullum - Nov 14, 2015

Pitch Me This Productions has done a great job bringing THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW to life for this year's annual dose of absolute pleasure and sins of the flesh. The circus idea is fun, even if it doesn't truly make a ton of thematic sense with the Gothic material. (more...)

BWW Reviews: Stage Door Inc.'s A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE is First-class Enjoyment
by Nyderah Williams - Aug 5, 2014

Stage Door Inc.'s production of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE does complete justice to Tennessee Williams' classic American masterpiece about fantasy versus reality. Created in 1947 during a time where, it was deemed downright scandalous, A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE grew into America's heart. (more...)

BWW Reviews: Stage Door's LEGALLY BLONDE Makes You Think Pink
by Katricia Lang - Jul 6, 2014

While I, and all of the other insanely giving and informed people, have always been aware that self-centeredness and shallow preoccupations are not traits of silly, frivolous women but of silly, frivolous people - LEGALLY BLONDE has convinced the world and looked fabulous doing it. What? Like it's hard. Well, it is hard. Duh. That's why it's impressive. (more...)

BWW Reviews: Pearland Thatre Guild's TARZAN is Wholly Entertaining
by David Clarke - Aug 26, 2013

The stage musical of TARZAN may be Disney's biggest Broadway flop. The company reportedly sunk anywhere between $12 million to $15 million into the overinflated musical. The problem that may reviewers and audiences had with the show was that the often-repeated stunning visuals ceased to be astounding after about the first 10 minutes of the production. With the allure of the macabre, I was drawn to the production thinking I'd see a train crash into a sinking ship. To my surprise, the Houston premiere production was rather buoyant and wholly entertaining. (more...)
