The International smash-hit musical BILLY ELLIOT makes its regional premiere at Drury Lane Theatre on April 10 - June 7, 2015. Opening night is scheduled for April 16, 2015 at 8 p.m.

The current revival of Eugene O'Neill's THE ICEMAN COMETH, starring Nathan Lane and Brian Dennehy, might be heading to Broadway after its sold-out run at BAM.

The Uptown Underground, 4707 N. Broadway, is open for business as of Valentine's Day weekend after a lengthy dispute with the city and state over the art form of burlesque and the sale of liquor. Originally slated to open on New Year's Eve 2014, the Uptown Underground features retro-entertainment, cabaret, comedy, magic, burlesque and jazz, and is the new home of the long-running weekly hit The Kiss Kiss Cabaret. Jenn A. Kincaid and Chris O. Biddle are the co-owners of the Uptown Underground as well as co-producers of The Kiss Kiss Cabaret. Pulitzer Prize-winning David Lindsay-Abaire's award-winning 2011 drama features one of the Midwest's favorite actresses Laura Gordon in the title role of Margie Walsh. A single mother living in South Boston trying to survive, to work and care take her adult, but severely mentally challenged, daughter Joyce.

It seems like more and more films are being adapted for the stage these days. Some for the better and some for the worse. Which brings us to the classic film, GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER, which starred Spencer Tracy (in his final screen appearance), Katherine Hepburn and Sidney Poitier, in a wonderfully inspiring and humorous production being presented by the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. One might think that this particular piece of cinema is outdated, but the fact is that this story is one that will still resonate with audiences today, and maybe that's a just a sad dose of reality that we all have to face. Todd Kreidler's script follows the movie fairly closely (based on the original screenplay by William Rose), but includes large doses of laughs that neatly leaven the dramatic aspects of the piece, making it an engaging and thoroughly entertaining theatrical experience that I cannot recommend highly enough.

The lyrics tell all. "In short there's simply not a more congenial spot than here in Camelot," now lodged at Fresno's Saroyan Theatre through tonight only. Originally launched into success by Julie Andrews and Richard Harris, the classic receives a new, simplified staging with an overwhelming ambiance, as well as a Renaissance acoustic makeover.

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis presents Guess Who's Coming to Dinner by Todd Kreidler and directed by Seth Gordon.
