USA Announces Premiere Dates for SUITS, WHITE COLLAR & More

USA Network will premiere a dynamic Thursday night line-up this March featuring the mid-season premiere of the critically-acclaimed series Suits on Thursday, March 6 at 9/8c, followed by the series premiere of new half-hour comedy SIRENS at 10/9c.

USA Orders New Half-Hour Comedy DIVIDE & CONQUER

USA Network today greenlit a new original half hour comedy pilot with an order for DIVIDE & CONQUER from executive producer and writer Peter Ocko (FAIRLY LEGAL, "The Office," "Pushing Daisies"). The news comes on the heels of the network's first comedy series pickups for SIRENS and PLAYING HOUSE and a pilot order for LOVE IS DEAD. The network's first original comedies are slated to premiere in first quarter 2014, following the launch of the award-winning and top-rated comedy MODERN FAMILY, on USA on Tuesday, September 24 at 8/7c.

USA Network today greenlit its first original half-hour comedies, with series orders for SIRENS from Denis Leary ('Rescue Me') and Bob Fisher ('Wedding Crashers') and PLAYING HOUSE from Jessica St. Clair ('Bridesmaids,' 'Best Friends Forever') and Lennon Parham ('Best Friends Forever,' 'Accidentally On Purpose').

USA Greenlights Pilot for World War II Alien-Invasion Series HORIZON

USA Network today finalized a cast contingent pilot order for the hour-long period genre series HORIZON. The Universal Cable Productions' project with Valhalla Entertainment is the first new pilot from executive producer Gale Anne Hurd since the Golden Globe®-nominated "The Walking Dead," which comes from her studio deal. Stacey Levin, Valhalla's VP of Television, and Kris Henigman, Director of Development, shepherded the project.

USA's Denis Leary Comedy Pilot SIRENS Sets Cast, Director, Production to Begin in Chicago

The USA Network half-hour comedy pilot SIRENS cast Michael Mosley ('30 Rock,' 'Pan Am'), Kevin Daniels ('Modern Family'), Jessica McNamee ('The Vow') and Kevin Bigley ('Game Change') to star. Leary will co-write with Fisher ('Wedding Crashers,' 'Traffic Light'), and both will executive produce the series along with Jim Serpico ('Rescue Me'), and Hal Vogel and David Aukin ('Hyde Park on the Hudson,' End Game,' 'The Promise') of Daybreak Pictures. Apostle and Fox Television Studios will produce in conjunction with Daybreak Pictures. The pilot, set to shoot in Chicago later this month, will be directed by Victor Nelli ( 'Happy Endings,' 'Wilfred,' 'Ugly Betty,' 'Scrubs'), who will also executive produce.

In a season as rich as this past theatrical season though, there are only so many spots for nominees and some very talented shows and performers were not nominated. MAGIC/BIRD Talkback to Feature Dan Lauria and Peter Scolari, 4/18

Fran Kirmser and Tony Ponturo, the producers of the new Broadway play MAGIC/BIRD, announced today that the star of "Lombardi," Dan Lauria, will hold a talkback for ticketholders following the 8pm performance at the intimate Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street) this Wednesday, April 18. Lauria, who portrayed the legendary coach Vince Lombardi in the hit play last year, will be joined on stage by his longtime friend Peter Scolari, who is playing legendary coaches Red Auerbach and Pat Riley in Magic/Bird.
