It had been three years in the making when Kristin Chenoweth took the stage at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday for her one night only concert. She was welcomed by thunderous applause, was visibly moved and happy to be there. Over the next 2 hours she took us on a journey through different musical genres, including musical theatre, country, gospel and pop. WICKED, the award-winning musical that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, is proud to welcome back the original British Elphaba, Kerry Ellis, who will recreate her celebrated performance from Monday 4 August until Saturday 25 October 2014*. Willemijn Verkaik will play her final performance as Elphaba this Saturday (19 July 2014 at 7.30pm**). She departs the production in order to have surgery to address an ongoing back condition.
