THE SECOND CITY DOES DALLAS Kicks Off Dallas Theater Center's 2012-13 Season, 8/29

Dallas Theater Center kicks of its 2012-2013 season with the outrageous new comedy The Second City Does Dallas written specifically for Dallas by members of The Second City and directed by Matt Hovde. The worlds of Chicago and Dallas collide on DTC's stage in a satirical take on all that makes Dallas great (and not so great). It's a fully produced sketch comedy experience in a theatrical, no-holds-barred look at Big D. The Second City Does Dallas runs at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre Wednesday, August 29 - Sunday, September 30.

F. Murray Abraham Takes Part in Resonance Ensemble Gala Tonight, 6/1

Celebrating 10 years, Resonance Ensemble (Eric Parness, Artistic Director; Rachel Reiner, Managing Director) will revel in classic fashion tonight, June 1, 2012 at the Judson Memorial Meeting Room (55 Washington Square South). This year's program is entitled 10 YEARS/10 DREAMS, featuring 10 ten-minute plays inspired by William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The Gala will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction at 6PM, followed by performances at 7PM. Stage Actor Paul Kent Dies at 80

According to published reports, stage veteran Paul Kent recently passed away from myeloma. He was 80 years old, and is survived by his wife and three daughters.

Roundabout Completes Cast for Murphy Led PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE

Roundabout Theatre Company in association with Tracy Aron, announces the complete cast for the new Broadway musical THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE, starring two time Tony® Award-winner Donna Murphy, directed by Leonard Foglia. SIN Closes At The Baruch Arts Center

As previously reported, after 9 previews and 6 performances, Sin played its final performance March 21 at the Baruch Performing Arts Center's Rose Nagelberg Theatre.

SIN Shutters Suddenly Off-Broadway @ Baruch Performing Arts Center

SIN, a mystical comedy, based on Isaac Bashevis Singer's short story 'The Unseen,' adapted by Mark Altman, has closed off-Broadway suddenly, after opening on March 17, 2010. This world premiere production, which played at the Baruch Performing Arts Center's Rose Nagelberg Theatre was directed by Kent Paul. Previews began Tuesday, March 9th. The final performance was March 21, 2010.

GATES OF GOLD, a new comedic drama by Frank McGuinness makes its American Premiere at 59E59 Theaters. Previews begin Thursday, February 19, 2009.
