Directed by Vera Beren at The Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Symphony Space at 2537 Broadway at 95th Street, New York, NY on Wednesday, May 2nd at 8:00 pm. Admission is free and by invitation. The performance will run approximately 3 hours, with one intermission.

The tenth season of New York Theatre Barn's New Works Series continues on Monday, November 6, 2017 at The Cell with pre-premieres of two new musicals: Coyote and The Goree All-Girl String Band.

The new musical October Sky, inspired by the Universal Pictures film and 'Rocket Boys' by Homer H. Hickam Jr. will receive a developmental lab from November 9-November 10, 2017 in New York City.

One of five shows singled out as “ones to watch” at the prestigious 2017 New York Musical Festival festival, THE GOREE ALL-GIRL STRING BAND successfully couches a message about redemption through music in a consistently funny play about a female prison in Texas circa 1938. The true story of female inmates at Goree State Farm doesn't pull punches about racism, sexism, or the justice system. While the grim reality of incarceration (and potential sterilization) is ever-present, it is ultimately the humanity of these women “who've done bad” that emerges from Michael Bradley's well-plotted book and the fine acting of GOREE's ensemble, led by Lauren Patten (Fun Home).

An official selection of the 2017 New York Musical Festival's Next Link Project and produced by Wayward Creatives Entertainment, The Goree All-Girl String Brand has been named as the recipient of this year's Kevin Spacey Foundation (KSF) Artists of Choice USA in Musical Theater.

Now in its fourteenth year, the 2017 New York Musical Festival will take place July 10th through August 6th at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row, The Peter Jay Sharp Theater, Playwrights Horizons Rehearsal Studio, The Green Room 42 @ YOTEL, and The Castillo Theatre in New York City. After an acclaimed Off-Broadway engagement, THE BRIGHTNESS OF HEAVEN, a new play by best-selling author Laura Pedersen, directed by Ludovica Villar-Hauser, will soon be presented in regional productions, and will start the new year with two presentations at the Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Hilton NY Midtown (1335 Avenue of the Americas) in the Regents Parlor (scheduled for 4:40 PM and 11:25 PM).
