Opening the programme in the Park200 is Charles Court's production of the seldom performed Rogers/Sondheim musical Do I Hear A Waltz?. The seasons continues with Engine House's production of Bomber's Moon, written by celebrated screenwriter William Ivory (Made in Dagenham, Burton and Taylor), and is completed by the world premiere of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, a tale of revenge set in the Wild West, adapted by Jethro Compton from the short story by Dorothy M. Johnson.

What a wonderful night we had on Thursday, when SCANDALOUS opened on Broadway. There is nothing more magical than when all the hard work comes together and all the creative forces collide in one place!
Another week of SCANDALOUS rehearsals and previews. A lot of changes planned for this week. So far, I'm really proud of our creative team. They have managed to cut over 15 minutes off the show, tightened its focus and its storytelling, and been very brave with the cuts. Last week we even cut a song, DEMON IN A DRESS, which was sung by two-time Tony winner George Hearn (he was so gracious about it - a fine example of professionalism. We all worship and adore him). But by the end of last week, we were all pretty worn out. The combination of an already nearly impossible schedule during previews, and then the stress of hurricane Sandy and its transportation challenges was a lot for even the hardiest of theatre folk!
Jeff McCarthy, the actor whose New York credits include Urinetown, Chicago, The Pirate Queen, Side Show and Beauty & the Beast, among others, will lead the cast as the title character in THE GRINCH at MSG.
Internationally acclaimed bestselling author and songwriter Jeffery Deaver and writing partners Clay Stafford and Ken Landers have been nominated for a 2012 Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) in the Best Country category. The nominated song 'Near The Silver Mine' is part of the group's latest collaboration, based on Deaver's mystery/thriller novel, 'XO.' The HMMA winners will be announced at this year's event, which will take place in Hollywood on November 15.
